This charming country home, a Tuscan rental perfect for 6 plus a couple of kids is close to Forte dei Marmi (15 minutes drive) for the beach and still an easy drive to Lucca (about 25 km) and other popular Tuscan destinations. Casa Kikki is a farmhouse rental and an annex which has been renovated to comfortably sleep an additional 2...we suggest 2 kids, but that's up to you. The interior is absolutely lovely. Spacious, recently renovated and stylishly furnished making the house an excellent value.

The Details:
Ground floor:
A comfortable living room with a fireplace and access to the loggia (outdoor covered terrace) equipped with a table and chairs for lounging outside. The living room has a flat screen TV for all the Italian TV you can take..and BBC. It is a satellite TV. There is a dining room and a spacious kitchen with breakfast table. The kitchen has everything you need to cook with - Microwave, oven, stove, toaster, dishwasher, washing machine (clothes - no dryer), coffee maker, pots and pans, cutlery..everything. There is also a bathroom with shower on this floor.
First floor:
2 queen sized bedrooms, both with AC and their own en suite bathroom. One queen bathroom has a a tub with hand held telephone shower attachment and the other queen has a shower n the bathroom. Both of these bedrooms share a terrace.
1 twin bedroom with AC. The bathroom for this bedroom is on a mezzanine level.
Annex:
The annex is located on the other side of the pool. This is a fabulous place to put the kids. With the privacy they seek and nothing to get them into trouble, "what a trip to Tuscany!" they will cry when they return home. The annex is a single living area with 2 sofa beds and a bathroom with shower. AC in this as well.
The grounds as mentioned are private and command nice views. Not so small either: 2000 square meters. That's about 20,000 square feet including the pool which is 13 x 6 meters.

Camaiore is a sweet village with a central green, instead of the classic cobbled piazza. Close to the sea its convenient and has enough shops to support its substantial population. The city center offers places to visit: the Civic Archaeological Museum and the Museum of Sacred Art and various churches. Local restaurants, alimentari and craftman shops.
Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi are in their own little world there on the coast of Tuscany. Viareggio is perhaps most famous for Carnevale. Next to Venice and Rio, Viareggio comes in third, drawing over a million people. The elaborate parade, running along the seafront promenade, is usually held the three Sundays before carnevale, the day of carnevale (Shrove Tuesday), and the Sunday following. Admission is charged for the parades. Theater, music, masked balls and other events are held during the carnival season, too. There's even a carnival museum in town. Summer Festivals include Cittadella Jazz and More from mid-June through mid-August. The annual Puccini Opera Festival attracts fans from around the world and is held at Torre di Lago Puccini just outside of town. Other stuff includes:
Forte dei Marmi - The coast is lined with privately owned sandy beaches. For a price, you get a beach chair and umbrella and use of facilities like changing rooms. The sea is usually calm and good for swimming.
