The stunning 13 hectares property (32 acres!) is located in the heart of the best Tuscan wine country (Bolgheri) and in Etruscan country that borders northern Maremma about 4 kilometers from the village of Castellina Marittima. Not only is the property enormous and private, it is located within the Nature Reserve called Il Terriccio overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. On a good day you have views of Elba, Capraia, Gorgona and the Corsica.
The 4 stone houses that originally date back to the 1700's were fully renovated in 2008. The owners were careful to meet historic code and maintain the detail and character of yesteryear while creating a comfortable place for you to stay. Each of the houses are completely independent of each other so as to assure privacy for each renter. Still a good location for large groups.
The property's garden was designed by Paolo Pejrone and his colleague Franco Brugo, both are internationally recognized landscape designers. The space includes fruit trees of many different native Mediterranean plants and a fully equipped swimming pool area. This includes a large solarium, a 16 x 8 x 1.4 m. pool with a water side for children, patio with sun-beds and chairs, a pool house for changing, a well furnished kitchen, a fitness room and bathroom. What else would you need or want> Oh, right..a large stone barbecue for grilling that Tuscan T-bone. A couple of glasses of super Tuscan wine may help to create the ideal atmosphere: the choice is wide, but a suggestion is between the world known Chianti DOCG red wine or, if you wish to excel and be more generous to your friends than to your pocket, one of the world leader Italian wines the Lupicaia-Castello del Terriccio. This is particularly easy to find close to Casa il Terriccio, since its vineyards and warehouses are within the Il Terriccio Nature Reserve.

Each of the 4 houses are designed in a similar manner in order to provide nearly identical amenities and service. All houses have a south-facing patio covered by flowers, an ideal place for sitting to sunbath and/or have outdoor breakfast, lunch or dinner. All have a basement with washing machine, drying space, iron and board. Also, they all have fully furnished kitchens, with a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, American coffee machine. All bathrooms have soaps, hairdryer and towels with a change for washing. A satellite TV showing all major international channels is available in the living room of each house, mobile phones and their Wi-Fi Internet Key allow to make and receive calls and email.
Villa Alice sleeps 4. 2 Bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
