Clam Sauce Recipe
Listen, we're not from Italy, so you
know we are doing this wrong. We don't go with the Italian mantra of
"Simple & Pure" in our recipes. We are Americans and tend to
embellish. But regardless, we make a mean clam sauce for linguini.
Hands down. And it is simple to make - like all of our recipes.
Olive oil - lots
Garlic - heavy on this
Basil
Clam juice
White wine
Can of minced clams
Fresh clams in shell - as many as you like.
Pepper to taste
The olive oil and garlic comeah first. The minced clams comeah nextah.
Cook for a little while and add the basil finely chopped. Stir this
aroundah, and add some wine and cook off the alcohol. Add the clamah
juice and some pepper. As much as you like. Throw in all of the clams
until they open wideah. Serve over al dente linguine.
That's it. Serve with some broccoli
with a basil and butter coasting and Madonna, that's some good eatin!
