Villa Rossi

An Amazing Villa In Prime Location - Affordable Luxury

Villa Rossi, located 6 km from Lucca is a classic and historic villa from the 17th century. Beautifully appointed Villa Rossi delivers at an affordable price a real villa experience from Lucca's past that lives on with the original families who once ruled this wealthy region of Tuscany. So is the case with Villa Rossi. The owner stays here in the winter, while provides it to good people like you to enjoy in the summer, spring and fall. Your opportunity to live the good life at a reasonable price.

Villa Rossi is an authentic villa of very high standard. The owner has decorated Villa Rossi with excellent taste and great care has gone into every detail from the furnishings that are a mix of comfort and period elegance to the spacious kitchen and its Italian ceramics and the comfortable bedrooms. This is a fantastic stay in the Lucca countryside. For 9 people this is more like a palace - loads of room. The villa is 700 square meters (7000 square feet) and the garden alone is 10,000 square meters. That's 2.5 acres. And that is just the property line. The villa is built in a protected region of hills and space that add many more acres of privacy. Dining al fresco too.

While maintaining the elegance of an antique 17th century villa, Villa Rossi has been appointed with all modern appliances (including Wifi access) in a recent, full restoration that includes a wonderful in-ground pool(12 x 6 meters) with sun chairs and sun beds. Because the villa comes with a staff, your job is to relax. Offered weekly, but I would want to stay for three weeks in a place like this.

The villa set is on three levels. Very spacious and completely livable for families with kids. This is not a delicate villa - it is livable and very suitable for families with kids of all ages.

Perfect for: Families.

A Little on the Region
Villa Rossi is close to the sea and Lucca. It is in the Lorenzo a Vaccoli comune (municipality) close to Vorno and between Pisa and Lucca in the Italian region Tuscany. Great location because beaches are close, restaurants are close and Lucca is close too. The best of all worlds.

Lucca, at about 6 km from the villa has completely retained the original thick walls around the centro storico. As the wide walls lost their military importance, abruptly ended with the conquering Bonaparte in 1805, no match for his modern might, they became as they are today: a pedestrian only park that rings the city entirely providing a wonderful view of the countryside and city below. Lucca is a perfect place to spend a day, or when you have a little extra time between other touring, you can easily slug it in and never tire of its streets, alleys, sights and shops. It is a perfect place to walk around, the walls not withstanding (in fact for the walls we suggest renting a bike and seeing the city that way - on the walls and off). We fondly call it "Florence without the scooters, people or museums." But still enough great restaurants, piazze, cafes, gelati and upscale shopping to attract the discerning folk. Here is a quick guide to our favorite restaurants (also found in more detail on our recommended restaurants in Lucca page):
Da Giulio, on via Conce Piazza San Donato
La Buca, on via della Cervia
Osteria Baralla, on via Anfiteatro
Antico Cafe, on Piazzale Vittorio Emanuele
